After a strong breakfast, we prepare our horses and warm blankets for our first full day snow riding through dense forests and open meadows in the vicinity of the equestrian center. During January, Bosnia is usually white and the snow in the forests is untouched because there are no activities of forestry or farmers and the hiking trails are unused by hikers during that period. On the first day, we will enjoy a long ride, and as a specialty we will prepare a picnic with a campfire in the surrounding small wooden shed that we built for winter riding trails. After returning to the riding center, we enjoy lunch and prepare for night skiing on the Olympic mountain Jahorina. Exhausted, we look forward to a light dinner and a glass of mulled wine by the fireplace in the warmth of the living room above the horse stalls.

Mountain lodges are open for hikers only on weekends, in most cases we are the only guests.
Today we are planning an activity, most of our riders tried it for the first time with us. Namely, Bosnian horses, which are the most numerous currently in our riding programs, have deep in their genes forest work, pulling logs and pulling carriages. In line with that, ski joering would be an activity that they would easily accept and that would come naturally to them, that’s what we thought and that’s how it turned out to be true. For all riders who would like to try, we organize ski joering training in a riding area with obstacles as a preparation for ski joering in the forest. Put on your deep snow skis, tighten the harness on your horse and let’s go have fun. Riders who are not interested in ski joering can enjoy riding in the surrounding snowy forest trails and glades. After ski joering, riding and lunch for tired riders and skiers, we jump into the vehicle and head towards the Olympic Mountain Jahorina to enjoy a half-day of skiing. Jahorina is the best of all worlds: a balanced mix of blue, red and black runs featuring everything from a newly-built, dedicated beginners area, up to slopes that were used during the women’s events at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
Accomodation (Mountain Lodge Pogorelica)

One 3 bed room, one 4 bed rooms(shared bathroom)

With our horses rested and riders well slept, we continue with the ski joering challenge and visit further trails towards the peaks of Bjelašnica. For those who prefer riding, they travel with a group in the saddle. After a half-day of riding/ski joering, we prepare for a skiing adventure on another Olympic beauty, Bjelašnica, where we will ski for half a day. During the 14th Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games in 1984, Bjelašnica hosted competitions in alpine skiing disciplines for men. Downhill, slalom and giant slalom tracks were built at the time. The mountain was once synonymous with rough winters and isolated villages frequented only by the most experienced hikers, hunters and adventurers. Tired and satisfied after skiing, we head to our home away from home, LazyHorse.
Accomodation (Roomy Cabin Jezero)
2 double bed rooms (shared bathroom)
One 6 bed room (shared bathroom)
(NB – there a no showers at the cabin, but there wil be a fire lit for us).
After several days of riding, today we will ride in a relaxed way towards the camp we have prepared for you in the deep forest. By the campfire, we recount the events of the previous days and with a glass of mulled wine we toast to some new joint future riding tour. The best relaxing part of this riding program is yet to come, a massage and spa in a 5-star resort is the best thing that can happen to tired riders at the end of this riding program. Let’s go and enjoy the scents of saunas, warm water in pools and experienced hands of masseurs.
