Arriving at the Equestrian centre at about 8.45am, we’ll aim to be on our horses and departing at 9 am. A wonderful morning’s riding taking in descents down the valley and through the village of Toplica where Bosnia’s oldest tombstone is situated, and climbs to see the wonderful mountain views.
Then we climb back up along the forest tracks, trotting and cantering where we can, before we dismount to cross a small river and continue on to our wonderful lunch spot by the Lepanica River. (For 3 or more persons we will proved a fresh fish barbecue on the river bank).
After lunch we’ll relax and let the horse rest for a while. You can have a snooze or expore the forest, or even have a dip in the river!
After saddling up again for the afternoon, we head up and up to the ‘One-Man’ Village, winding out way back down to cross the valley again and head towards home arriving around 5-6pm.
Approximately 6-7 hours in the saddle this ride is not for the faint-hearted! There is the option of taking a shorter route home for those that are tired!
